#007 ECHO OF LIFE



There was a father and his young son who were walking through the mountains. Suddenly, the son fell, hurting his leg on a rock. He screamed, 'AAhhhh!'
To his surprise, he heard a voice repeating, 'AAhhhh!' 
This made him even more curious. So, he yelled, 'Who are you?'

Back came the same answer, 'Who are you?'
Feeling a bit perturbed by this response, he yelled out, 'Coward!'
Back came the same reply, 'Coward!'

He looked at his father and asked: 'What's going on?'
His father smiled and said: 'Son, pay attention.'
Looking across the valley, his father yelled to the mountain, 'I admire you!' The voice answered: 'I admire you!'
Again the man cried out: 'You are a champion!' The voice replied, 'You are a champion!'
The boy was amazed, but he was very confused. So, his father explained...
'You are only hearing an echo, the sound of our voices bouncing back from the mountains. However, this really is how life works. It returns to you what you think, say and do!
Our lives are a reflection of our thoughts and actions. If you want more love in your world, create more love in your heart. If you want to be treated with kindness, treat others with kindness. If you want more competence on your team, become more competent.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life. Life will give to you, everything you give to it, only it will give you even more in return. Your life is not ever a coincidence. Each moment is a reflection of you!'
The son listened and grew in understanding, and through the following years, he witnessed the truth of these words in his life!

    That's so true, this is related to KARMA, if you hurt someone, the pain that you cause, will return to you...
    You have to be careful with what you do, because sometimes teh pain return to people that you really love, instead of you...

      You receive what you give. .. you have to think before you act .. I like the message of the story, it is something that is reflected every day... But as you said, we have to be optimistic and look on the bright side ;)

      yup, in fact as the saying life is an open book full of blank pages, you write the story as you go... we can do and say whatever we want, however our actions have a significant effect in ourselves and in others, too.

    Nobody is perfect and have everything but if you want to do something just do it, for example if you are poor person and you want to have more, you have to work hard for a better future because is your life and is your responsibility.

      That's a good point nobody is perfect but in time we have to grow as correct those mistakes we make. To be a good person is not easy though, it is our duty to help other people, to love and forgive, to give the best without asking for anything in return.

    Personally, I believe in Karma, because I lived some experiences, which taught me to be a better person, and give much more than I receive. My mother always tell me this proverb which says: "The measuring stick you use on others is the same one that will be used on you." So people will jugde you in the same way you jugde. Something that I'm pretty sure is that life is short, so we must live it with love.

      Great Julio, the quote you used is so real, don't do what is wrong! do not harm others! not even yourself! You know what, I don't know who said these words maybe Einstein, that's what some people said: "The world is a dangerous place to live not only because of those who do evil, but also because of those who look on and do nothing to avoid it".

    i think that is a good reflexion ,i really like it because it talks about that you don´t need to be a bad person because if you decided to be a bad person with everyone that´s how everyone is going to treat you so is better to be polite and generous with everyone .One example of that was when i was in High School and i was polite with everyone and when they didn´t understand i help then but then , when the teacher was explaining a new topic i remenbered that i didn´t understand it and i was really worried so i ask for help to my friends and they help me .That ´s why is important to be polite and don´t do bad things to someone if you don´t want that they do the same with you.

    I really liked the story. Well, I believe in karma because once life instantly restored to me the bad things that I had done, we have to be careful with what we do or say, because the same thing can happen to us. Think before act. I think that the story besides talking about karma also talks about paying attention to the environment in which we are living day by day.

    A beautiful way to see the live, it is really interesting how our actions can infer in our love, is something that drive us to make more good actions and help other people in order to have a good life, a good sense of purpouse for us. And we don't know, maybe someone that we helped in the past will save our live in a future, the world is small and a person that we met yestarday can be the most important person for us tomorrow, well, finally I want to say that I like to help people, but not in order to upgrade or improve my life or my karma, but I think helping people is the best way to feel happy with ourselves.
