#006 POOR FAMILY AND THE COW
A poor family lives in a
remote village and this family owns one cow. Each day they live from the
milk of the cow. If there is little milk, they eat little. It there
is lots of milk, they eat well.
One autumn day, a traveller
stops in the village. He is hungry, so the family shares their milk. The
traveller is grateful, so he wishes to return the favour and help the family.
He doesn’t know how to help the family, but he hears that there is a
wise man in the village. He walks over to the home of the wise man.
about that strange recommendation,
but at the end he did it.
He was nervous about it and he went away.
A year later the traveller
goes
back to the village. He noticed new shops and a market. He saw a new hotel that provided beds and food to the travellers who came for the market. The traveller entered the hotel. And he found the eldest son of the family of the cow. The man was smiling and happy. The traveller greeted him and asked “What happened?”

And he found the eldest son of the family of the cow. The man was smiling and happy. The traveller greeted him and asked “What happened?”
The eldest son replied: “We lost our cow so there was no milk. We had to go out and do something to eat. We set up a small market and thanks to God, it grew”
“We set up this hotel, it is
growing. Without the milk from our cow, we had to try new things.” He added.
Beautiful story, that teach us that we have to try new things if we want to succeed in life!
ReplyDeleteLike the saying "NOTHING VENTURED, NOTHING GAINED"
But going out of our zone of comfort is the most difficult part.
As you said, many people feel that leaving their zone of comfort is more than a risk and they live just there without thinking about what actually they can get. It's not easy I know but It is worthy
DeleteWell i think the importance is that we try new things when these go in a way that we don't expect
DeleteRight Mafer, but it is really tough when people don't want to do it or simply think it will be fixed because God loves us, have you ever wondered how many people wait for that all their lives instead of doing something to make their dreams come true. God is good to us, however I consider he also wants us to follow our dreams, to overcome problems and difficult situations.
DeleteBy Carlos Samame Lucas: From my point of view, this story shows us that when we get out off our comfort zone new paths would appear that would positively affect our lives. Even, if we demostrate chivalry maybe new directions, paths and experiences could be achieved. All of these would continuously shape us and making us stronger among the course of our lives.
Delete" the one who does not take risks, will not win"
Nice Carlos, the question is did you do it by yourserlf or someone or something helped you? Anyway good point of view

ReplyDeleteInteresting history! I agree with the message which the story intend to leave. Some people, according to their context, want to stay with this static life, as you can read in the history (The alimentation and progress of the family depend of the cow). Although, we shouldn’t force a person to change, we can help or animate them to try new things that can improve their life’s quality or give them more freedom.
DeleteYeah, It's a great story, even when good nutrition is the key to have a healthy lifestyle, we cannot depend on a cow, which represents conformity. There are mamy ways to interpret this story. We can encourage people not only to change but to be better.
Deletewe are currently very lazy ... how? We are looking to change everything for something more comfortable for us so that every time we make less effort, and that is how we are holding on to the easy ... all this is becoming our cow ... and I am aware that my bida revolves around that and I am willing to kill my cow well it is said that: "if you do not risk, you do not gain anything"😊

haha that sounds spanglish but anyway we shouldn't be lazy if we want to succeed in life we gotta work hard.
DeleteI'm right with this story because I think everyone has a cow in their life and it looks good with that, but sometimes you have to try new things, not just depend on one, take risks and, most importantly, no According to what we already have, we must go for more. Thank you

That's a good one Marco, in my humble opinion we have to give our best and always change otherwise we won't leave our comfort zone and it will lead us to do the same and not to take any risks which would help us to get better.
DeleteThis is a interesting story, but I'm sorry I'm partially disagree because they depended of the luck. If they failed in their business, they would have a lot of problems.
