#029 IF I DIE BEFORE YOU DO (POEM)

 If I die before you do,
Do me a favor.

Cry as much as you want,

but don't be mad at God for taking me...

If you don't want to cry, don't do it...
If you can't cry, don't worry.
If you want to laugh... Laugh...

If some friends tell you stories about me, listen to them and believe what they say...
If the praise me too much... Correct the exaggeration,
If they over criticize me, defend me.
If they want to make me a saint only because I die,
Tell them I had some holiness in me, 
but I was far from being the saint they say.

 If they want to make me a horrible person,
show that I maybe had some bad as well,
but that all my life I tried to be good.

 And on top of everything, I always tried to be a better person. 
If you feel sadness and you want to pray for me, you can do it, perhaps I need your prayer.
If you want to talk to me...
Talk to God and I will listen,
I hope to be with him enough time to continue to be useful to you from somewhere out there, wherever I might be

 If you want to write something about me, 
hopefully is this phrase: "He was my everything, believed in me and adore me".
Then... Drop a tear if you feel like it.
I won't be present to see it, but it's not necessary,
somebody will in my place...
So now from somewhere maybe up in the sky I will continue with my new assignment in life.

But every once in a whileTake the time to talk to your soul
You probably won't see me
But I'll be happy to see you...

Do you believe in this sort of things?
If you do, then ask for us to live like
The kind of person who knows one day will be gone
And to die like the one who knew to live well.

If I die before you do. I think I'll miss nothing...
Because having you, was like having a piece of heaven.

    It's such a beautiful poem with a beautiful message of optimism. We should live in a positive way, help other people whenever we can, give love to our family because, surely, no one in this world know exactly the time when they're going to die. When we'll die, we won't take with us material things, but memories, I strongly believe that those memories will be carried in the soul forever... I've always thought that memories have eternal life. When we live, our memories are kept in our heart and mind. When we die, memories will be kept in our souls. I like to think about it periodically...⭐

    It is a beautiful poem, it makes me want to be a better man because people only remember people, they don't remember your money or your things. I think that we need to have good memories with our friends and acquaintances. People just need to concentrate in present, we only live ones, make dreams and do them

      That's true Ivan, the present is really important because it will make our future, we are building it.
      I think this poem can be taken into different ways and not only to the beloved one but also for our relatives and friends. :)

    We spend our lives complaining about everything, we complain about what we don't have and we feel angry for any reason. However, we do not take into account that we do have. Maybe this sounds very trite, but life is a big GIFT, we need to live it in the best way. If we do not, we will be sorry when it's too late.

    It is true that No one knows the time we wil die but when a person die in the unexpected moment, you can feel a big sadness about its death. After that only you will remember how was the person before die. If you do good things in your life in the earth, you will be remembered with a lot of love. It is important to enjoy every day in your life with the family, the friends to share good moments. Not only to tell them that you feel lucky also is very important to show your feelings with acts. You can left good memories, anecdots, advices for someone that in a moment needed your help. It is importat to have connection with God to do a prayer for its soul. It is true when a person die, it will continue living in our memories and our hearts , but if we don't remember this person, it will be forgetten. A lot of people live the life how if it were the last day. Is necessary to express our feeling and to enjoy every experience that the life give us and to share a lot of special moments with the correct person. I liked too much this poem.

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block.  He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the father yelled, “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility?” The doctor looked at him and said, “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call and now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”. “Calm down?!
