#042 WHO IS THE HAPPIEST?
A crow lived in the forest and was absolutely satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan. “This swan is so white,” he thought, “and I am so black. This swan must be the happiest bird in the world.” He expressed his thoughts to the swan. “Actually,” the swan replied, “I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.” The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained, “I lived a very happy life until I saw a peacock. I have only two colors, but the peacock has multiple colors.” The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him. After the people had left, the crow approached the peacock. “Dear peacock,” the crow said, “you are so beautiful. Every day thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately shoo me away. I think you are the happiest bird on the planet.” The peacock replied, “I alw...

From my point of view, it is difficult to understand the bad things that happen in our lives, moreover when since the childhood you are faced with successive bad events which follow your life. Along those critical situations prayed to God was useful, but in some way there is a “fatigue” in the trust, and watching sad events like famine, wars casualties I tried to understand why. Where is the love of God and his wisdom?
ReplyDeleteAs you said, it is difficult to understand but he is wise and he knows why he lets these things happen, I recommend you to read the Mahabharatta is a great book that maybe can help you figure it out, but the best book that probably you have read is "The Holy Bible" the problem is many people are so religious that let other people influence on them when it comes to interpret it, so just listen to your heart.
DeleteIt's a beautiful story that remember us everything has a purpose in our life. God sometimes lets we are in troubles to prove our confidence in him.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I also believe that in some cases we are responsible for being in troubles, because even though we know we're doing bad things, we go on doing that, until something happens and allow us to realise that we should change our behaviour.
In other hand, sometimes we just hope that things happen and we do nothing, for instance, we can pray to pass our exam, but if we don't study hard, God won't hel us. For that reason, I reckon we should believe in God and do things properly.

Excellent way of seeing things, Be positive, I know it's tough but not impossible.
DeleteOn the other hand many people are so negative, try not to spend much time with them.
The story is very interesting, it represents two people oftoday. A person who is desperate in any situation, and thinks the worst that can happen and the other person who in the same situations maintain calm, patience and think of a solution. The reflection that comes to us is that many times we despair in any situation without trusting that our skills and abilities can help us solve them. Also tells us that in God we can keep calm, he will never want the worst for us, he is a good being and that he will always support us. But that is not why we should expect him to solve all our problems, we must also do our part to find a solution.
ReplyDeleteRight, it reminds us that he created us because he loves us. God is perfect, we should think that death is the worst, cus we don't know what is there, we only know or at least should know that whatever he decides, it is the best for us.
DeleteBy the way, you also mentioned two kind of people, the majority are like the woman, we hardly ever keep calm what it is the best way of facing difficult situations.
In my view this reflection helps us to realize that God is at all times with us although we may seem to be absent. I believe that God puts obstacles in our lives to realize how strong we are and that we can move forward in the face of problems. We must also think that negative moments are not forever and we will find a light on the way.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, God is always with us but we are the one who take decisions, obstacles make us stronger and the last part you mentioned remind me of a phrase which goes like this: "Even your worst day only have 24 hours"
DeleteFor some people it is very difficult to believe in God becauuse in some cases we blame him for the bad things that happen to us, but believe in him means to have faith that he will take careus at all times and we should not fear because our life is in his hands.
