#071 A SPECIAL GRADUATION AND HOW TO STOP A BULLY

Many people have been victims of bullies, and others have seen people suffering it but haven't done anything to help the victim and what is worse some people laugh about it. Consequently some people have killed themselves. Sorry about that but it is true. Here I will share two stories cus It's been a long time I haven't posted cus to be honest I have been not only busy but going through hard times, God knows why things happen :) anyway the first story is lovely, and the second maybe some people have a different point of view but remember he is talking about offending other people not necessarily letting people hit you.

Enjoy them and comment!

This is a touching story about a boy called Kyle and how one kind action can change someone’s life.

There was a boy called Donovan in high school and one day he saw another boy from his class, called Kyle, walking home having been in school.
Kyle was carrying all his books from school. The boy thought “Why would he be taking all his books home from school on the weekend? He must be a nerd.”
Donovan, as always, had a busy weekend of parties and football with his friends and carried on having forgotten about Kyle. As he walked off, a group of kids ran towards Kyle and as they ran into him, his books dropped all over the floor.
He fell over in the dirt, he lost his glasses and his books were scattered. Donovan looked at Kyle and just saw sadness.
He went over to Kyle, handed him his glasses and told him “those kids were idiots, forget them.” Kyle genuinely smiled and said “thanks” with total gratitude. The new friend helped Kyle up, helped him collect his books and they had a conversation and found that they lived close to each other. He asked Kyle why he had not seen him before.
Kyle had previously gone to a private school which is why the boy hadn’t seen him much. He didn’t hang out with private school kids.
Kyle and Donovan got on really well so Kyle was invited to play football on Saturday. They hung out all weekend and the more the boy got to know Kyle the more he liked him. Donovan’s friends also really liked Kyle too.
Donovan saw Kyle on Monday with all his books and said to him “you are going to have massive muscles if you carry those books every day.” Kyle laughed and gave the boy some of the books to carry.
For the next four years, Kyle and Donovan became best friends and right before school finished they were thinking about university. Kyle wanted to go to Georgetown and the boy to Duke. Donovan knew that they would remain friends for a long time. Kyle wanted to be a doctor and Donovan was going to study business.
Kyle was head boy of the class and so he had to do a speech for their school graduation. On the day of graduation, the boy saw him and acknowledged that Kyle had really thrived during high school, as many girls loved him.

Kyle began his speech:

“Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach -but most your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them I am going to tell you a story.”
Kyle continued with the touching story of how he met Donovan. Kyle had planned on committing suicide the weekend he met the boy, he had cleaned out his locker so that his mom did not have to do it for him, and was carrying all his belongings home.

Kyle ended his speech:

“Thankfully I was saved. My best friend saved me from doing the unspeakable. He is like a brother to me”
It’s important to never underestimate how the simplest of actions and gestures can truly change someone’s life.

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always!

This touching story about a bullied boy shows how one small gesture can save someone̢۪s life

The second story is about how to stop bullies, check it out. There are two videos which are very similar. It won't take you much time. It is worthy. :)

  1. You never know with what a person is struggling with ,because of that it is important to be aware of the value of our words an actions and how these can completely destroy a person or save one. “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted” . by the way , not everybody knows how to react to this kind of situacions and those videos at the end are perfect to learn and also laugh , love them :)

    1. Thanks so much for your words Nicole, what you said reminds me of Starfish, a story that I shared last year (if I'm not wrong). Anyway if we have the power to destroy and/or save someone, why don't we choose to save them? A smile is so powerful, imagine if we care more for each other like in the first of these two stories. About the second story or video, we have to admit that being silent makes you an accomplice whether we see someone suffering at the hands of a bully and do something or just ignore it.
We can do something Nic to change this world :)

  2. Bullying is a problem in our society, it starts in schools and if it is not attacked quickly it can have consequences.
Sometimes small details can change lives.
The indifference and silence of our society could produce dangerous reactions and stranger behaviors in many people who are demanding more attention and living constantly bullying.
The value of words in the exact moment maybe a smile help to change terrible decisions in people who consider small things as great things.
The story of Kyle is a trully example about these battles that many ocasions don't have the same happy ending.
We must not be indifferent more.
It is our responsibility to report these acts and not be complicit in these acts.
It is important to reinforce in schools that these acts are unacceptable and that they are punished, as well as having spaces to report them.
I liked the stories and videos, thank you for sharing!!!
